Virginia Synod Goals

Let me offer some "20’s" for our 2020 vision for congregational and synodical renewal. By 2020 we will seek to have:

1) 20 year old young adults who are ambassadors for Christ, WILLING and ABLE TO SHARE THE FAITH WITH OTHERS OUTSIDE THE WALLS OF THE CONGREGATION!

2) 20% growth in worship attendance in every congregation.

3) 200% growth in adult Christian education in every congregation

4) 20% as a congregational goal for giving to the wider Church

5) 20 new mission starts

6) 20 million dollars in our Trust Fund for Mission

7) 20 candidates a year for full-time service in the Church

8) 20 congregations a year participating in Healthy Congregation Seminars

9) 20% Lutheran students at Roanoke College

10) 20 spiritual retreats happening around the synod each year

11) 20 years of growing partnership with the Islands District of Papua New Guinea

12) 20 servant/mission events happening around the synod each year
