Social Action Committee
The Social Action Committee of the Virginia Synod provides general oversight over the following programs, ministries, and organizations which receive funding or grants from the Synod or church-wide.
A resolution was passed asking this committee to study the need for a synodical gay & lesbian task force to foster moral deliberation with and provide advocacy for person in our Synod congregations of gay & lesbian orientation, and to seek ways to convey the Gospel message of unconditional love and welcome to all persons.
The Social Action Committee deals with many social issues and we need to advocate the importance of this through our church.
