July 2011 - Registration forms for the three weekend events are available Oct. 17, 2011 - Last day for Lost and Found early registration discount Nov. 18-20, 2011- Lost and Found (our weekend event for 7th and 8th graders) Dec. 12, 2011 - Last day for Winter Celebration early registration discount Jan. 20-22, 2012 - Winter Celebration Weekend #1 (for 9th-12th graders) Jan. 27-29, 2012 - Winter Celebration Weekend #2 (for 9th-12th graders) Feb 1, 2012 - Kairos application forms available on website Feb. 6, 2012 - Last day for Seventh Day early registration discount March 3-4, 2012 - Seventh Day (our overnight event for 5th and 6th graders) June 8-10, 2012 - Youth Assembly (for two youth from each congregation, grades 7-12) June 24-29, 2012 - Kairos (for rising 9th-12th graders) July 8-12, 2012 - LAUNCH (for just graduated seniors)
For Adults Leading Small Groups at Synod Events - Information Sheet and Backround Check Adults who lead small groups at Virginia Synod Youth events must complete a "Small Group Leader Information Sheet" and also complete a "Permission to conduct Criminal and Child Sex Offender Background Check." Both forms should be returned to: Dave Delaney, Virginia Synod ELCA, PO Box 70, Salem VA 24153. KAIROS is our summertime week-long faith-formation event for youth who will be entering grades 9-12 in the fall. This year's event is at Roanoke College, June 24-29, 2012 Space is limited, so apply early! Click here to download an application form. There is a separate application for adults who would like to attend Kairos as small group leaders.
